Cataracts

Is it possible to have my cataracts removed by laser?

This is not possible as the affected lens inside the eye needs to be removed and replaced with an artificial lens.

Sometimes, however, part of the support structure for the old lens may thicken, resulting in decreased vision similar to having a cataract. In these circumstances laser can be used to improve vision.

Do cataracts spread from eye to eye?

Has my cataract been caused by overuse of my eyes?
