Neighbourhood Renewal

The Vision Initiative has been working in collaboration with Infoxchange and their ‘Language Factory’ to translate key eye health messages into Mandarin to be promoted on the Wired Community@Collingwood website.

Wired Community@Collingwood is an intranet service which provides communication, information and services, learning and employment opportunities to all residents of the Collingwood public housing estate in inner Melbourne.

Mandarin is the largest language group at this site. If successful, the Vision Initiative will explore adding similar information to other networked communities in Victoria in additional languages.
