Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA) Winter Weekend 2010

The inaugural annual Victorian Winter Weekend was held at the Yarra Valley Conference Centre on 21–22 August. The theme was Primary Health Care and Team Building and the Vision Initiative, in partnership with Optometrists Association Australia Victoria, delivered an education session on smoking and eye disease.

On day one, the Vision Initiative coordinated an eye health information booth, with a five minute speaker slot over lunch to deliver key messages to the delegates. Pharmacists and their assistants were encouraged to use the Vision Initiative website as a sector endorsed reference tool. Satchel inserts were also provided.

Over 60 pharmacists and their assistants attended and initial feedback has been very positive.
