Neighborhood Renewal – Atherton Gardens

The Wired Community projects are funded by the Victorian Government, as part of its Neighborhood Renewal program, in selected sites across the state. They connect public housing communities to local services and information via the site intranet. The project provides infrastructure support and training to the residents of housing estates.
In early 2010, eye health and vision care information was included on the Wired @ Collingwood community site. More recently the Vision Initiative has provided information for inclusion on the Health and Wellbeing tab of the Wired @ Atherton Gardens community site. The information provides details in English and Mandarin about how to access low cost eye health and vision care services in Victoria.
