Learning Seat - online learning for health professionals

In 2009 Learning Seat, an online education developer, partnered with the Australian Practice Nurses Association (APNA) and the Vision Initiative to develop and implement the accredited module for practice nurses titled ‘An Introduction to eyes’.
The module was reviewed and updated in late 2010 to incorporate recent information on eye health and vision care in Australia. While APNA has recently partnered with another online provider for their education, the updated module can still be accessed through the APNA website at www.apna.asn.au
Learning Seat will also host a modified version for health professionals the ‘Introduction to eyes’ online module. It will be available to over 32 organisations that have synergy with the Vision Initiative program goals and objectives. Health is an area that has growing requests for education provision and the module will be promoted to a wide range of health professionals.
