Orthoptics Awareness Week (OAW) is here. This year Orthoptists from across Australia are encouraged to raise awareness about the Orthoptic profession.
The theme for OAW 2019 is: More than meets the eye
The aim of this week is to recognise and highlight the role of Orthoptists to the public and other health professionals revealing that there is more to being an Orthoptist than meets the eye. OAW endeavors to showcase the skillset of an Orthoptist and also the array of settings an Orthoptist can work in. During OAW we will be featuring a different Orthoptist each day exhibiting the variety of workplaces and roles an Orthoptist can be a part of.
Orthoptics Australia encourages Orthoptists to get involved and post all pictures and updates during OAW to social media with the hastag #OAW2019.
