World Glaucoma Awareness Week

March 7, 2021, 12:00am - March 13, 2021, 11:45pm

This World Glaucoma Week, Glaucoma Australia are asking Australians to get active about eye health and ‘Treat Their Eyes’ to an eye test.

What can you do to help?
- Encourage people at risk of developing glaucoma to get their eyes checked at least every 2 years
- Remind people with glaucoma to tell their family members to have an eye check. Family members are 10 times more likely to have glaucoma if they have a direct family member with glaucoma
- Share Glaucoma Australia’s campaign materials during Glaucoma Awareness week
- Download or order Vision Initiative’s free information sheets for your patients (available in 11 languages)
- To learn more about current research in glaucoma, including gene therapy, clinical genetics and mitochondria research, visit the Centre for Eye Research Australia website.
